Different human cultures depend on the traditional system of medicine. Despite the medical advancements, people still believe these treatments work wonders. One such system is Ayurveda which is popular for its holistic approach to curing a disease. Herbal plants play a significant part in any traditional medicine system. Here are some of the world-famous herbal plants mentioned below:-

Turmeric — This antiviral herb is a common kitchen ingredient in every Indian household. Curcumin is the main active element in turmeric. It is a powerful immunity booster which makes it the perfect ayurvedic medicine for viral infections. Some other health benefits of turmeric are — it reduces inflammation, upgrades the antioxidant potential, improves brain function, decreases possibilities of cardiovascular diseases, and counting.

Ginger — This flowering plant originated in Southeast Asia. This Ayurveda herb is closely related to turmeric, galangal, and cardamom. Ginger is immensely productive against nausea. Besides, it also cures weight gain, may assist with pain and stiffness of the knee, reduces blood sugar levels, brings down menstrual pain, and lowers cholesterol levels.

Chamomile — The term chamomile originates from the Greek word “chamomile” or “ground apple” to classify it’s revitalizing apple-like fragrance. It is widely popular in Ayurveda for curing anxiety and stomach problems. This herbal plant can be categorized into two types: Roman chamomile (Chamaemelum Nobile) and German chamomile (Chamomilla Recutita). It is a potent herb in aiding various skin diseases, managing muscle spasms, lowering glucose levels, and the like. Chamomile tea is a well-known beverage across the world.
