Empaths feel and absorb other people’s emotions. We’re basically highly sensitive. ⠀

I sent out a survey a few weeks ago and ask what your biggest struggles are to painting a positive mindset, and one of the most common responses were absorbing other people’s negative energy.⠀

So I suspect that many of you are on the empath spectrum as well.⠀

It’s important to identify if you’re an empath or not because then you can actually learn to work with your sensitivities instead of being held back by them.⠀

Your sensitivities can be a gift. It’s almost like heightened intuition.⠀

You can sense when something is wrong, when people are lying, or saying they’re fine when really they’re upset. You can connect to the universe’s guidance more deeply.⠀

And best of all, you can start to learn where your real emotions end and where other’s begin.⠀

If you’ve a partial empath or just have trouble not taking on the bad vibes from other people, this episode will be highly valuable for you as well.⠀

Today we’re talking to Dr. Judith Orloff. Her book The Empath’s Survival Guide was a life-changer for me. And now she’s someone out with her next book Thriving as an Empath, 365 Days of Self-Care for Sensitive People.⠀

We will learn:⠀

How to stop absorbing other people’s stress and negative energy

How to create healthy boundaries in your relationships

Empath protection strategies including a bunch of journaling prompts to start to connect with your gifts.⠀
