Listen Later

In this episode of Dads And Deadlifts, I get to chat with Gunjani Patel who is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Life & Wellness Coach, Speaker, a Writer and now a Podcast Host of Traumatic Transformations. We get into the science behind trauma, healing and how parents should educate themselves first to help their kids to feel safe and secure physically and emotionally. Gunjani also opened my eyes about statistics for teen suicide and the rate at which it is increasing and how as parents we can help our kids and teens to navigate difficult phase of adolescence and be a well around human being.

Gunjani runs a private practice called GPatelCounseling in San Diego California and Florida. And specializes in Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. She is also a new mom to a 22-month-old hyper-energetic but a very lovely boy, and is in the process of relaunching herself after being on a hiatus for the last few years. Her newfound vision in life is to spread mental health awareness and normalize it, to break the stigma associated with help-seeking.  In each episode, she plans to share  science backed actionable tips, tools, and strategies to help people learn more about mental health, be inspired, get hopeful, change mindset and live the best versions of themselves.
