If you ever find yourself driving down the 33 in the south western part of the Central Valley as I have from time to time you may come across a small town of around 250 people called “Three Rocks.” When you do, you may ask yourself as I tend to do “I wonder how the town got its name.” Then, if you are anyway observant, you might look around the horizon and see, up on the mountain ridge in the distance, exactly how this town got its name.
