Ep. 29 – The Importance of Discipline
Discipline - to train or develop by instruction and exercise especially in self-control.
Jerrod defines it as “Discipline is doing what you said you were going to do long after you feel like doing it.”
Ali defines it as “Deciding what it is that you need to do and doing it consistently.”
How do YOU define discipline?
Discipline is normally considered to be a negative. If you were disciplined as kid, it typically meant being grounded or having things taken away. It is RULES you have to follow or pay the consequences. As an adult, it can mean a write up at work, losing a job or losing your freedom to make choices.
In this episode, we discuss the different types of discipline, internal and external and how they evolve as you grow. When it comes to discipline, how do you hold yourself accountable? Has your discipline allowed you to influence others? What happens when you have no discipline?
