Andrew Hughes is an incredibly accomplished yet brilliantly humble adventurer: Mountaineer, explorer, extreme sports enthusiast, Guinness world record holder and human rights advocate. In 2020, he became the fastest and first American man and third person ever to complete the Antarctica Trifecta, and has completed both the Seven Summits ascents and six of the Seven Volcanic Summits.
We recorded this episode on his 2-year anniversary of his successful Mt Everest summit attempt, with Andrew sharing his gnarliest and most harrowing stories that led him from a background in law and politics to summiting the highest mountain in the world, as well as sustaining the passion to continue his work, advocacy and adventures (sustainably).
