Sonny Gray was masterful for St. Louis, posting 12 strikeouts in 6.1 innings. One ill-timed hit in the seventh made him the loser in the game as the Cardinals went 0-for-9 with RISP while leaving all 10 men that they put on base still stranded on those bases to end the inning.
