Callister, emeritus General Authority Seventy and former Sunday School general president, writes what should be considered an opinion piece for The Church News, yet no one defines it as such. Elder Callister goes after government programs and endorses officials from the Trump administration – none of which is inherently bad. However, presented in this matter, his words on the nuclear family will be taken as gospel by many. By Common Consent has an excellent thought piece on Elder Callister's remarks.Elder Quentin L.
