Welcome to episode 380 of Sexology Podcast! Today I am delighted to welcome Lauren Streicher, MD an expert in women's health and menopause. In this episode we discuss the common changes women face during perimenopause and menopause, including genital urinary syndrome of menopause (GSM), painful intercourse, diminished libido, and hot flashes.     Dr. Streicher emphasizes that while menopause brings various challenges, effective solutions exist for each symptom. She highlights the importance of hormone therapy (HT) for relieving symptoms and improving quality of life, as well as the use of lubricants, vaginal estrogens, and other medical interventions for managing painful intercourse.    Lauren Streicher, MD, is a clinical professor at Northwestern University and founding Medical Director of the Northwestern Medicine Center for Sexual Medicine and Menopause, she also serves as a menopause practitioner and Senior Research Fellow at the Kinsey Institute.
