How To Cut It in the Hairdressing Industry

EP125: Joseph DiMaggio – Live Your Life and Intentions to Mastering Your Craft

Listen Later

Becoming a master of anything in life takes time and dedication. That means if you want to master your craft, you need to put in the hours. You need to put in hours and hours and hours of practice. But most of all, you need to live and do everything with intentions. And that’s what today’s guest ,Joseph DiMaggio, one of America’s most in-demand published editorial and session hairstylist has done in achieving his goal of becoming a Master Session Stylist.

To understand further on what is required to becoming a master, Joseph shares his journey from being a drummer in a North American rock band and how he entered into the hair industry, eventually leading him into the high-octane world of session styling. Joseph shares the question “are you willing to relocate, are you willing to dedicate two to three years of your life to make this work?” This is something you’re going to honestly need to answer yourself if you want to accomplish the master status on which ever route you want to take in your life.

For any of you looking to explore a journey into session styling and what you’ve got to do, then there’s so much Joseph explains for you today. As the founder of Shokunin Clik Education, we’ll also get to hear how has mastered the complete art of the blow drying technique and system, which teachings he is now sharing around the world and helping others to enter into the world editorial and session.

All recorded live at The Social, there is so much in this episode to getting you pumped up to mastering your craft. The real takeaway from this wonderful conversation today with Joseph is: the master takes the long road, not the short cut! It’s gold!
