If you are part of the natural, green, clean and organic beauty movement then you would have noticed the term 'chemical free' But what do people mean when they use that term or when cosmetic products are labelled as 'chemical free'?

It has been rightly pointed out that from a scientific point of view the term quite simply does not make sense as all matter is a chemical. All matter is made of chemicals. So that begs the questions "are the people that use this term ignorant?", "are they misleading me when they label their product with a term that actually does not exist?" but also more importantly "what are they trying to convey to me about their product?".
