Frieda Teron grew up in a small border town in North Mexico and later attended St Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating, she decided to pursue a dual MD phD degree by joining the University of Iowa Medical Scientists training program. She's currently working on her phD in neuroscience, studying epilepsy with a major goal of developing dietary therapies for patients have uncontrolled seizures. In her free time she enjoys strength training, cycling, and cooking. She has a passion for low carb nutrition and keep ketogenic therapies for health and wellness. She's fascinated by how our bodies work and she's always experimenting, trying to optimize her health.
