Recently, the book, in German, "Violoncellisten der Gegewart: In Wort und Bild" came to my attention. I had been searching for books about cello and this is one of the great discoveries that popped up. The title can be translated to the effect, "Cellists of the Present: In Word and Picture".

It is great to come across historical volumes such as this when involved in precisely this era. Currently, I am recording music from Julius Klengel and it happens that Klengel is one of the features therein. Great source material. I hope you will join me as I introduce the book about cellists from the turn of the 20th Century. Here, I also speak about the fact that there are many more pieces for cello than I had ever dreamt there were when I was a student in the 90's and 2000's.
