The Flames have one of the best colour schemes and themes in all of sports in my humble opinion.  However, their design choices have been historically bad and and out of touch.  EVERYBODY loves the clean design of the classic red, white, yellow; yet throughout the history of the team they've been relegated to third jersey or retro night jersey in favour of some real eyesores.
