Hey friend!
As always, I'm SO happy you're here! On today's episode I'm sharing my journey with anxiety medications -- how I was diagnosed with anxiety, why I was put on anxiety meds & where I stand with the medication now.
Why am I sharing this?
Well, for starters we need to continue to break the stigma of anxiety meds (really any form of medication - especially when it comes to mental health) because it is a viable form of treatment. Is medication for everyone? No, but for some people like me, it was necessary to regain control of my life.
I wanted to share this because I am going through a real-time adjustment of my medication & Ryan & I thought it might be helpful to share this with all of you. What I'm experiencing, why I decided to adjust my meds after 10 years, etc.
I also wanted to share this part of my journey because one of my friends was brave enough to share her journey on Instagram earlier this week & this was my way of standing with her.
Our mental health is SO important. It is up to us to advocate for ourselves, take care of ourselves & to understand - not only what is going on with our bodies, but understanding what is best for our individual bodies,
I truly hope that today's episode was helpful & if nothing else, provided you with the comfort in knowing you're not alone.
As always, I'd love to hear from you over on Instagram.
Until next time,
xoxo
