Stephen R. Weissman is a former Political Science Professor, top congressional foreign policy staffer and public interest advocate for campaign finance and election reform. He has lived and worked in a number of African countries. Stephen has written two previous books, American Foreign Policy in the Congo 1960-1964 and A Culture of Deference: Congress's Failure of Leadership in Foreign Policy.
