As a manual osteopath, I have been trained to work with bones through a variety of techniques. The term “osteopathy” was coined by its founder Dr. Andrew Taylor Still. The root of “osteon” is bone from Greek. Also from Greek, “Pathos” is the root for “suffering”. Learning to treat bones flipped my manual therapy work literally inside out.
