In this episode we will continue to look at other examples of what is meant by being refined by fire. We looked previously at Isaiah and Jeremiah, today we will look at Ezekiel and Malachi.
Many in the world today have an incorrect understanding of what it means to be refined by the fire of God because they are being mislead by incorrect teaching and songs with incorrect doctrine.
As God explains through His word, God wants to bring His children into obedience through discipline. We covered this in past episodes more in detail (Scripture is Profitable for Discipline - Makes Paths Straight, and ... - the Struggling Son). But today we will look at what happens when someone does not receive a new heart and spirit, when they are not cleansed from all sin but still struggle with sin; God then changes from discipline to His fire. When this happens, God then purges the wicked from within His church through various judgements.
Passages covered: Ezekiel 22:15-31, 24:10-24; Malachi ch 2-4; James 2:1-10, 3:2; Proverbs 25:4-5; Psalm 119:113-120; Revelation 22:11-12.
