In this episode, Kim and I reflect on our journey as entrepreneurs, partners, and parents over the last 12 years. We talk about how our definitions of success have evolved—what used to mean hustle, chaos, and achievement now means peace, impact, and alignment. When we met in 2003, I had already left teaching to pursue entrepreneurship, while Kim was thriving in a team environment and didn’t yet see herself as an entrepreneur. Over time, we grew into business together, but we’ve also taken our own unique paths.

Kim shares how success for her now means leading herself well, raising kind and capable kids, choosing peace over pressure, and building a legacy through service. I agree that success starts in the home—with our family, our values, and our ability to live with intention. We’ve built a life where our kids still want to be around us, and that means everything.

This conversation really dives into how we consciously create our reality by staying rooted in values, evolving with purpose, and regularly asking ourselves: What does success feel like today? What did it feel like ten years ago? What will it look like ten years from now? This episode is all about defining success on your own terms.
