As Debbie continues her journey to learn more about methods to slow down the aging process and improve performance in life and sports, heat and infrared therapy has been a popular topic of discussion recently on The Whole Athlete Podcast and YouTube channel.
We recently heard from Bri Brewer of Sunlighten Saunas and Debbie even visited Seattle Sun Light Spa to learn more.
Today, to get some hard data on the benefits of heat therapy and infrared saunas, Debbie talks to Dr. Eli Kramer, MD, about the benefits of infrared saunas for athletes and endurance athletes. Particularly, the effect an infrared sauna can have on aches & chronic pain, flexibility and range of motion, immunity, and circulation.
Eli Kramer, MD is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who has an array of interests and experiences across the dynamic healthcare landscape. After completing his medical residency, Eli practiced clinical medicine with a focus on primary care. He then transitioned to helping hospitals meet insurance compliance standards and appeal insurance denials. Most recently, Eli has entered the biotech industry where he works in drug safety monitoring for innovative Oncology clinical trials. With a passion for understanding novel methods for improving health, Eli has also been reviewing and evaluating the medical literature surrounding non-invasive light therapies such as infrared sauna and LED facials.
Eli holds BA and MD degrees from Brown University and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.
