Julia Barbaro is a homeschooling mom of six children, wife, certified life and marriage coach and author. She is an integral part of the behind-the-scenes operations of her husband, Gino's, business ventures, including Jake & Gino and the Rand family of companies.

Julia was inspired to become a certified life and marriage coach after witnessing the power of coaching. She felt compelled to give back and motivate others to set goals, seek out their soul purpose, and ask what’s next in their life. Julia's passion is to empower couples to strengthen their mind, their communication, overcome obstacles, and seek clarity. Together, she helps them create a life plan for themselves as well as encouraging parents to guide their children to adulthood.

Julia is the author of “The Cannolis Exploded!” And “A Gelato Blast!” children's books about decision making and different paths we can take in life. Julia and her family live in St. Augustine, Florida where they enjoy the old city and the simple beach life.

Awareness of how we act and speak is the first tool for better communications. What do we want to communicate? How does the person with whom you are speaking communicate?

The way you react to someone else when you communicate affects future communications.

Awareness of thoughts before we act: is what you are thinking or feeling right? Think before you speak.

Gaining confidence in yourself by knowing no one has a perfect life, no matter how they might present it.

Know you are doing a good job. Whatever it is you are struggling with, come up with a plan that will get you where you want to be. Start with one step at a time.

Can journaling have a place in how you manage motherhood and life in general? The act of journaling can shift your thinking from emotional to rational and allow you to look at things and decide what is true and what is overreaction.

How does homeschooling fit into your life? It is a major decision to make with benefits that can be worth it for you and your family.

The importance of showing up, no matter what. We all have our challenges, and difficult moments to get through, but the struggle will build upon who you are.

Get evidence for the way you are feeling- is it true or imagined? This is one of the key components to successful communication with your spouse.

Having intention for a good marriage means actively working on it. If something is keeping you from it, ask yourself what it is that holding you back from doing the work and address it.
