today I want us to look into   faith as one of the 9 gifts of the Holy spirit. Let us read together from the book 1 Corinthians 12 v 9 . And to another, the same Spirit gives the gift of faith.    And to another, the same Spirit gives gifts of healing.Let us pray holy spirit thank you for revealing this important gift to us in Jesus Christ name we pray amen.In this Apostle Paul  scripture teach us about the gifts of the Spirit, however I have decided to single faith as amongst all the 9 gifts. Some might ask what is faith?

According to Hebrews 11 vs 1 faith is explained as follows;Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.- substance Is standing firm in believing God without any alternative  - hope Hope come from the fact God has made clear to us he will nor forsake us- evidence evidence is equivalent to testimony here we silence doubting voice within us the great things that the lord has done for us.(They conquered him completely    through the blood of the Lamb    and the powerful word of his testimony.They triumphed because they did not love and cling    to their own lives, even when faced with death.)- invisible For your faith to be increased and strong you tap into your invisible best friend holy spirit ( holy ghost fire)to come and help you as per the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ. when he said "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

Why do we need faith?So that when Son of Man return he could claim his inheritance which is the faithful believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, in Luke 18 v 8b Jesus Christ ask a very important question ("Yet when the Son of Man comes back, will he find this kind of persistent faithfulness in his people?”)

What we need to maintain our faith?

- We need to fellowship holy spirit meaning we must dedicate a serious amount of time to be with holy spirit just lik we do in our families.

- We need pray fervently, never underestimate the power of persistent  prayer it has worked wonders for many and you are not an exception.

- Consistency in bible reading session , the word of God says faith come hearing and the word of God.

-Control things that comes into your mind  Galatians 5 v 9( Don’t you know that when you allow even a little lie into your heart, it can permeate your entire belief system)

- Avoid Unholy Alliance with unbelievers. Unbelievers they also have a unspoken duty to win us into the kingdom of darkness, as much as we have a  scripturally spoken duty to them  win into kingdom of God 2 Corinthians 6 v 14-16 ( 14 Don’t continue to team up with unbelievers in mismatched alliances, for what partnership is there between righteousness and rebellion? Who could mingle light with darkness?  What harmony can there be between Christ and Satan? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?  What friendship does God’s temple have with demons? For indeed, we are the temple of the living God, just as God has said:

I will make my home in them and walk among them.I will be their God, and they will be my people.)
