Fall reminds us of the ever-changing cycle of life. As the harbinger of change and transformation, it resets our inner clocks, inspiring us to reevaluate our dreams, aspirations, goals, intentions, plans, habits, and every other element on which we build our realities.

River and Michele also discussed giving back in our communities. Like donating your time or clothing to a local Warming Center. A warming centeris a short-term emergency shelter that operates when temperatures or a combination of precipitation, wind chill, wind and temperature become dangerously inclement. Their paramount purpose is the prevention of death and injury from exposure to the elements. This may include acute trauma from falling objects such as trees, or injury to extremities due to frostbite. A more prevalent emergency which warming centers seek to prevent is hypothermia, the risk for which is aggravated by factors such as age, alcohol consumption, and homelessness.

Also, teaching our kids, by adopting a family this holiday season or serving up food at a local shelter. 

The holidays are a time of celebration, a time for giving and not simply a day we exchange gifts. The spirit of this time of year is in the 'togetherness', it's in the thought to which you put into thinking about others, it's a selfless time, where we forgive, take stock of what's important and become 'better' versions of ourselves.
