Welcome to a thought-provoking episode of The Fit Investor Podcast! In this installment, we are delighted to introduce our esteemed guest, Patrick Lengel. At 46 years of age, Patrick is a devoted husband and father with nearly 28 years of active ministry experience. He and his wife share a deep love for Hebrew, and their journey in ministry began when they met in seminary.
Patrick and his wife are proud parents of four children, aged 21, 19, 17, and 14. Their life journey has been a harmonious blend of faith, family, and service to the community.
Patrick's ministry path has been diverse and enriching. He has pastored churches, been involved in multiple church plants, and held various roles within church communities, including children's minister, youth leader, and mission and evangelism coordinator. Currently, he serves as an elder at his church, Grace Bible in Moore, South Carolina, where he leads adult discipleship, the men's ministry, and is a vital part of the safety team.
Beyond the church, Patrick has engaged in other impactful ministries. He helped initiate a network of biker churches, conducted prison ministries in North and South Carolina, served as a chaplain for a coroner's office, and spent 10 years as a chaplain for a law enforcement motorcycle club. Patrick's commitment extends to leading various workplace ministry opportunities.
Despite his active roles in churches and ministries, Patrick is primarily a tent-maker. He operates a family-owned training company and is working alongside his mother as she prepares for retirement this fall. Additionally, he provides personal and professional coaching services and is in the process of obtaining his general contracting license to build short-term rentals in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.
Through his years of ministering and working, Patrick has developed a comprehensive framework for living that organizes and prioritizes life into six essential categories: FAITH, FAMILY, FELLOWSHIP, FINANCES, FITNESS, and FOOTPRINTS. This framework serves as a compass for aligning one's life with values and priorities.
