Nuthin' But Baseball! Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Tab Bamford. Part of the Revolver Podcast network.
On this week’s Line Drive Radio, Paul and Tab had their soapboxes out. Ready for two guys to save the
world and solve all of the world’s problems?
The guys opened the show discussing the American League Wild Card race. The Blue Jays have sprinted
to the lead with their ridiculous offense over the past couple weeks. Can the Yankees and Red Sox keep
up? And, more specifically, are the Yankees built to win everything now? Or do the Pinstripes need to
make significant changes on and off the field to get back to the top?
In this week’s The Good segment, the guys discuss Roberto Clemente Day. Seeing Yadier Molina,
Francisco Lindor and Javier Baez on the field together wearing 21 was a great honor of the Puerto Rican
icon. Clemente’s legacy is still as strong as ever, and the annual award that bears his name is the most
important individual honor handed out each year. So… why hasn’t Major League Baseball retired 21
across the league yet?
This week’s The Bad segment was once again focused on the Mets – but this time, it was on the Twitter
habits of owner Steve Cohen. A newspaper column this week said Cohen’s tweeting could handicap the
club’s search for new executives. So Cohen went off on the writer – and his unnamed former executive
source – on, you guessed it, Twitter. Meet the Mess!
Finally, Tab offered this week’s LDR Fantasy Add of the Week. Who could help you secure the bag? Give
us a listen!
