Nuthin' But Baseball! Hosted by Paul C. Cuthbert and Tab Bamford.
Part of the Revolver Podcast Network.
We’re less than two weeks away from the end of the 2021 regular season and Major League Baseball
has officially served up a beautiful finale. On this week’s episode, Tab and Paul opened up discussing the
need for more Earth, Wind and Fire in our lives and celebrated Bill Murray’s birthday before chatting
about the impressive record-setting season of Kansas City’s Salvador Pérez and Jon Lester reaching 200
career wins. Somehow they then jumped into a discussion about Theo Epstein – should he take on the
role of president of the Mets… or wait to replace Rob Manfred as commissioner?
Then the guys went all-in on the remaining schedules for the playoff hopefuls in the American and
National Leagues. Entering action on Wednesday, the Red Sox and Blue Jays were in the two AL wild
card spots but the Yankees were only a half-game out. What do the Pinstripes need to do to win one of
those spots?
In the NL, the Dodgers are in the postseason and the red-hot Cardinals look like they’re running away
with the second wild card spot. But the NL East division crown is up for grabs and the Braves have to
play Philly three more times – with a three-game lead. Can the Phillies somehow rally and win the
division?
What are your predictions for the postseason? Tab and Paul put their prognosticator hats on to pick who
gets in and which fans are going to turn their attentions to hockey and football next week.
