I’m Pastor John Bingham with today’s Daily Growth Point.
When we trust in Christ as our Saviour, we begin with an understanding that we are a sinner in need of a Saviour. Christ’s sacrifice alone is the only worthy substitute for sin’s punishment. When you believe on Him for salvation, you are given eternal life.
This is just the starting point for our new spiritual life. The Bible says that at salvation, we are given a new master. Jesus said to the disciples, “Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.”
Jesus is our Master because He died for us. Peter Forsythe was right when he said, “The first duty of every soul is to find not its freedom but its Master.”
As we yield to obedience to Christ and His Word, we are yielding to Him as the Lord and Master of our life.
