I am your host, Peter Tas, and today we have the honor of introducing a truly remarkable guest: 10th Degree Senior Master of the Arts, Mr. Gary Ellis.

Born and raised in Plymouth, Mr. Ellis has dedicated his life to the art of Kenpo Karate. In 1980, he founded his own Kenpo club in Plymouth to promote Senior Grand Master Ed Parker's teachings and system of Kenpo Karate. Over the years, he has earned a reputation as one of England's most esteemed Kenpoists.Mr. Ellis began his martial arts journey in 1974 and transitioned to Kenpo in 1975 under Bob Rose.

His encounter with Senior Grand Master Ed Parker in 1978 was a pivotal moment, leading to a lifelong dedication to Parker's system. By 1980, he had earned his first-degree black belt from Parker himself, who continued to personally oversee his advancement and then finally with Master Lee Wedlake through to his higher degrees.

A respected instructor, Mr. Ellis has contributed significantly to the martial arts community, both in Europe and globally.  He has worked with renowned figures like Rainer Schulte and many others. His teaching and leadership have shaped numerous students, with many achieving black belt status under his guidance.

In addition to his martial arts prowess, Mr. Ellis has also made his mark in the film industry, training actress Leslie Ash for her role in "Curse of the Pink Panther."

He continues to inspire through his writings, seminars, and a planned video series on American Kenpo Karate.
