What does it take to prepare the way—not just with decorations and to-do lists, but within our own hearts? This Sunday, we continue The Lights of the Season with Hanging Lights from Luke 3:2–20, where John the Baptist calls God’s people to turn, reset, and ready themselves for the Light that is coming.

Just as hanging lights takes intention, care, and a bit of rearranging, Advent invites us to look honestly at our lives and make space for Christ’s transforming work. John’s bold message reminds us that preparation isn’t passive—it’s active, courageous, and full of hope.
