Rod Ferrell was the misunderstood leader of a vampire clan in Murray, Kentucky. Heather Wendorf was yet another misunderstood teenager living in Florida who befriended Rod. When she began complaining about her family, Rod decided to rescue her and leave Murray behind, once and for all. But somewhere along the way, the plan to start over in New Orleans changed to murder.
