Our Lone Star story of the day: Respected judge on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Jerry Smith, says of the ruling blocking Texas Congressional redistricting: “If this were a law school exam, the opinion would deserve an F.” Smith called the action of district court judges Brown and Guaderrama “outrageous conduct.” Smith said of the three judge panel that it was the worst he has ever seen in a case in which he was involved and accused Brown of “pernicious judicial misbehavior.”
