What are affirmations? Affirmations refer primarily to the practice of positive thinking and self-empowerment—fostering a belief that "a positive mental attitude supported by affirmations will achieve success in anything." If you believe it, it will be true...
Practicing affirmations can activate the reward system in your brain, which can have an impact on the way you experience both emotional and physical pain. Knowing you have the ability to manage stress and other life difficulties can help boost confidence and self-empowerment, further promoting faith in yourself.
Affirmations can be done as chanting, part of meditation, in front of your mirror, in the shower. You do what works for you!
Affirmations link in to manifestation too as they help you believe what it is you are manifesting and you can practice gratitude using affirmations as you can repeat over and over what you are grateful for.
However as with all of the different self-improvement trends this one might not be for you and that's ok, give it a try and if you're just not feeling affirmations then we'll discover what works best for you.
