In this week's Dental Handoff, Dr. Kelly is joined by Dr. Eser Tüfekçi!
Dr. Tüfekçi is a native of Istanbul, Turkey, and received her dental degree from Istanbul University in 1989. Dr. Tüfekçi continued her career at the Ohio State University, earning her Master of Science and Ph. D. degrees. She then received her certificate in orthodontics in 2002 from the University of Minnesota.
She also holds a Master of Science in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she is currently a Professor in the Orthodontic Department. Dr. Tüfekçi is a Board Certified orthodontist and maintains an intramural practice in Richmond, VA.
Dr. Tüfekçi details her journey to dentistry from stemming an early childhood interest in the game "Operation" all the way through to her life as an orthodontist today. Along the way, she imparts plenty of wisdom from from her professional experience along to Dental Handoff listeners.
