The way that we have been brought up really plays a role in how we function in society. With that being said, the process of socialisation has aided in normalising problematic behaviour in our cultures and traditions. We need to start to recognise those patterns and try to work towards ways of improving the functioning of our societies. We cannot continue to support ideologies that continue to suppress us and further entrench our society intro more traps.
