When guitarist Joe Perry left the Aerosmith mothership in 1979, he wasted no time in putting together his own group, The Joe Perry Project. Over the course of five years, the group would release three albums amidst a revolving door of musicians and internal struggles.
Perry's devotion to making music never wavered, however, and the jPP became the ultimate road dogs, touring constantly between record releases in the early 80s. On this episode, Julian Gill (KISS FAQ podcast) and I look at those albums as well as the constant changes in the band.
