Arsenal booked a spot in the last 16 of the Champions League and avoided a dreaded round of 32 play off, after finishing third in the league stage thanks to a 2-1 win at Girona.

Goals from Jorginho and Ethan Nwaneri sealed the points for the Gunners, as Arsenal went about a professional win in Spain and could have made it more, if not for a missed penalty from Raheem Sterling.
