Ep. 4 of the Everything Egg Freezing podcast
Egg freezing has exploded in popularity in recent years. But the egg freezing process is just the first stage of future family building. After freezing, what comes next?
Agnes Fischer is a successful Manhattan advertising executive who chronicled her egg freezing experience in the 2017 book Eggs Unscrambled.
Now, she's sharing her story with ELANZA Wellness's Brittany Hawkins of the years since: including navigating the decision to pursue solo motherhood with donor sperm at age 40, meeting her partner during that process, trying to conceive using IVF and experiencing pregnancy in her forties.
In this episode Brittany and Agnes talk about the effect of egg freezing in the years after the procedure itself, and what others - single or coupled - should keep in mind as they plan their fertility through their thirties and beyond.

Ep. 3 of the Everything Egg Freezing podcast.
Understanding what to expect from each phase of the egg freezing process can help you make the right decision for you, plan your schedule, and prepare you for your best outcome and experience.
In this episode, fertility specialist Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh - the Egg Whisperer - and Catherine Hendy, former egg freezing patient, co-author of Everything Egg Freezing and co-founder of ELANZA Wellness, discuss what you can expect from each stage of the egg freezing procedure.
They cover an overview of the whole process, what's included in the initial consultation, what you can do to prepare before the treatment cycle begins, how your body might react to the hormone injections, what happens in the retrieval operation and how long it really takes to recover after the procedure.
Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh is a graduate of UCLA School of Medicine. After completing her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, she completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility at University of Michigan. She also completed a Masters in Public Health in Health Management and Policy at University of Michigan. Her practice is located in San Ramon, California. Dr. Aimee is also host of the Egg Whisperer Show.

In this episode we hear about The Past, Present and Future of Egg Freezing from one of its pioneers, Dr James Grifo.
Dr Grifo is Program Director for the NYU Langone Fertility Center, and a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the NYU Langone Prelude Medical Center, in New York.
From controversial beginnings, egg freezing has come a long way in the last decade - and through research and his work as a practicing clinician, Dr Grifo has contributed much to its development and entry into the mainstream as a family planning option for people today.
Talking to ELANZA Wellness’s Catherine Hendy, Dr. Grifo talks about how his research helped to clinically prove egg freezing, how he counsels patients considering the procedure, why egg freezing has boomed in the past decade, the effect of COVID-19 and how new technologies may impact the future of fertility preservation.
