A few years ago, Antares (the makers of Autotune) announced their innovative "Autotune for Guitar" system. 

As a producer who spent hours every day just tuning alone (literally), this was an exciting new product. 

But the rest of the world didn't see it that way, and product has now been discontinued. 

I'm very sad about this. 

But it's pretty clear why ATG was such an epic fail... and there are some lessons you can learn about how to position yourself to potential studio clients.
