Faire: Marcelo Cortes

Marcelo Cortes is the co-founder and CTO of Faire, a curated wholesale marketplace connecting local retailers with emerging and established brands. More than 50,000 retailers and 7,000 makers use Faire and since launching in 2017, more than 15 million products have been sold on the marketplace. Earlier this year, Faire expanded to include international makers from 39 countries and brought Canadian retailers onto the platform last month. Most recently, Faire announced a $150 million Series D funding round (at a $1 billion post-money valuation), and will use the capital to continue to scale the marketplace to empower more entrepreneurs in wholesale/retail.
