It is the single greatest statement of faith in the entire Bible, in my humble opinion.

Daniel 3:17-18, "If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

Three young men refuse to bow to the golden graven image of the king, and are about to be thrown into the fiery furnace. They boldly proclaim their firm belief that God will deliver them through that fire - BUT IF NOT, they still will not capitulate to the culture's pressure to bow to an idol! And, as the scene unfolds, they experience "another in the fire," the Son of Man, a Christophany in the Old Testament, there in the fire with them.

This is just one of the remarkable examples we explore today as we conclude this life-changing chapter in Hebrews 11 and bid farewell to a good friend, our series "Great Faith in Our Great God."
