Listen Later

In this discussion, Katie shares her transformative journey from substance addiction to directing the Adult and Teen Challenge Pacific Northwest Alaska Women and Children's Center. She talks about her journey of recovery which began in prison, where she discovered the power of prayer and began rebuilding her faith. After her release, Katie joined a faith-based rehabilitation program, regaining custody of her kids, remarrying, and dedicated herself to assisting other women and children in similar situations. Katie strongly emphasizes the beneficial effects of faith-based recovery on both the addicted mothers and their children and the role her center plays in breaking generational curses of addiction. From witnessing children praising the Lord to recounting the heartwarming stories of women who discovered their faith in God, this transcript carries an impactful message of hope and resistance.
