My father Don Pedro Rivera engraved in my heart that “family is the only thing you have at the end of the day”, and I agree with him. I firmly believe that I have nothing without my family. Once married to Abel, I couldn’t leave my strong family ties behind. Should I have to? Couldn’t Abel be an extension of my Rivera family? I couldn’t find the balance between extended family and my nuclear family because I didn’t automatically make the switch on my wedding day. In this episode, Abel and I open up about our family issues, and how we work every day on finding that happy balance and how we set priorities when it comes to our extended family.
