We live in a world that seeks to control every aspect of our lives, including how we should serve our God. When it comes to the choices we should or should not make, the world capitalizes on the unregenerated soul of man to influence and derail our choices. The season of fasting [waiting on the Lord] puts the soul under the divine compliance of the Spirit. Fasting empowers the spirit to gain ascendance and authority to lead, and this is something we should encourage and practice regularly, especially in this challenging season. Our soul was designed to enhance our service of the kingdom from all perspectives.
Therefore, we need to be more deliberate and focused regarding the spiritual practice, which can assist the soul carry out its mission of supporting the human spirit in the effort to pleasing and advance the kingdom of God.
