The 25th of July has long distinction of being the day when James the Greater is celebrated in the Western Church. James was the first of the Apostles to see martyrdom.
For the feast, we will read Jeremiah 45, Psalm 7, Acts 11:27–12:3, and Matthew 20:20–28, and round things out with Keeble's poem about him.
