Blessed Feast! On July 22, we commemorate Mary Magdalene, Apostle to the Apostles. And here's a special lectio in her honor! Our texts are Judges 4:4–10, Judith 9:1, 11–14, Psalm 42, II Corinthians 5:14–20a, and John 20:11–18. We also read the English translation of the medieval Latin him, Pone Luctum Magdelena attributed to EA Washburn, and George MacDonald's poem about her in his collection of poems on Gospel Women in Vol 2 of his Works of Fancy and Imagination.
