It's just the fifth time Australia has ever claimed three gold medals on a single Olympic day. Three of those came in consecutive Olympics: 2000, 2004, 2008; the other was all the way back in 1956.

In Rio, Australia finished with eight gold medals. After just five days in Tokyo, we already have six golds.
