Emergency preparations are underway in Florida as Hurricane Ian continues to strengthen on a collision course with the U. S. The storm is expected to slam into Florida in the middle of this week and there's already a state of emergency there. Former Republican Congressman Denver Riggleman, a former adviser to the January 6th committee, told 60 Minutes' Bill Whitaker about possible evidence and a connection to the Trump White House that we've never seen before. Russia rounds up voters in Ukraine to participate in Vladimir Putin's sham referendums. CBS News spoke to Ukraine's president. A gunman attacked a school in western Russia this morning, and at least 13 people were killed. There are now fewer than 45 days until the midterm elections in November that will decide which party controls congress. Voters in Italy have likely elected the first female prime minister in the country's history. It would be the country's most conservative leadership since World War II.
