FMF 24 Social Distancing for Self Defense

I went to the garden nursery with my wife yesterday to get some food plants to grow.  I was impressed that everyone was wearing masks and everyone seemed to be okay with working on social distancing. They were working on their distancing.  They weren’t doing it very well. I sat there with my mouth shut afraid to have a confrontation with someone because I didn’t want to go sideways on them.  I should have said something more then once.  My lack of self-leadership kept me from doing so. I had to take the kid to the bathroom (of course) and waited outside for him.  A lady was obviously waiting to use the restroom too and she kept getting closer and closer and I kept moving further and further away. I left the kid outside so I could go to the bathroom.  And when I came out the lady was standing right next to the door and we had to push by her to get down the walkway to get out. I was pissed but didn’t want to say anything because if she had said anything, I would have gone off on her stupidity and made a grown woman cry.  Plus, I didn’t want to be seen as that mean by my kid.  So I let it go and we left. I miss an opportunity to practice making distance without having to use more then my voice. Now is the time to practice.  If you ask someone to move away, everyone will side with you and you won’t have a problem.  In normal times you maybe seen mean, a jerk, or the problem.
