We are continuing in our series, Folks Like Us, by looking at the Value of the Bible!

This weekend, we'll be spending time talking about and discussing why the word of God is so powerful and why we need to be people of the Bible. Many moves of God, revivals, and renewals began by people simply opening the Bible up and reading through it together.

John and Charles Wesley were students at Oxford University. They were surrounded by incredibly talented individuals, but they felt like they were missing something. A group eventually started meeting together, later being called the Holy Club, and they worshiped, prayed, and read the Bible. They just wanted to get back to the Gospel, and God showed up in powerful ways as these students devoted themselves to this method of Bible reading.

The B-I-B-L-E, yes that's the book for me. I stand alone on the word of God.
