We are continuing our series, Folks Like Us, where we will be looking at the value of worship!

If you've been around the Vineyard long enough, hopefully it's been pretty clear that we love worship! It's not just an activity that we do once a week on Sunday mornings, but we want it to be our lifestyle, our posture.

Worship is all about God's initiative and us responding to His presence and goodness. All throughout the Bible, whenever people experienced God, they worshiped, and now we worship both to experience God and when we've experienced God.

It becomes a beautiful exchange of grace and mercy when we sing our praises to God and allow His Spirit to change us, transform us, and renew us into His image and likeness.

To quote Richard Foster, "To worship is to experience Reality, to touch Life. It is to know, to feel, to experience the resurrected Christ in the midst of the gathered community. It is a breaking into the Shekinah of God, or better yet, being invaded by the Shekinah of God."
